KnowDrive
Public data

🇨🇦 Connect Canada's official records to your AI, for the first time. free.

We've published 2025 (and some of 2026’s) government source text into a public KnowDrive data store: the full wording, dated and tagged, open to any account holder at no cost. Below are the plain-language reports we wrote from it, and the instructions for reading the same records yourself. This is our opportunity to invest back into the country we love. If you’re interested in sponsoring our ability to ingest ALL of Canada’s public records, please reach out at hello@recoursellm.com 🇨🇦

Get the raw data

Connect it to your agent.

The reports below on this page are summaries. Everything behind them, every order and every notice word for word, is in a store your agent can read directly. It is one endpoint, and your client handles the sign-in.

  1. Sign in

Create a free account at public.knowdrive.ai either with your email and a password or Google. There is no trial and nothing to pay. The store is read-only for everyone.

  2. Add the endpoint

Point Claude, Claude Code, or any MCP client that speaks HTTP at the address below. The client runs the sign-in itself, there is no key to copy and no config to hand-edit.

  3. Ask

Query it in plain language. Every answer resolves to a record you can open and read in full, so you can check any summary against its source.

MCP endpoint
https://public.knowdrive.ai/api/v1/mcp
  • Read-only, for everyone. Nothing you ask is written back, and the store holds no account of yours to write to.
  • 12,090 documents today. Hansard and committee evidence, federal contract and grant disclosure, who lobbied which institution, every riding and seat, how each district voted and where its boundaries run, the bills of this Parliament, and Canada's tariff law. All available in other places, but never as queryable as on KnowDrive.
  • Records carry the dates that separate when a thing was decided from when it was published, so a question about a past date gets a past answer instead of today's page. A coverage manifest states what is knowingly absent, so an empty result can be checked rather than assumed.
  • For your own KnowDrive store there is also @knowdrive/mcp on npm, a stdio-to-HTTP bridge for clients that cannot speak HTTP directly. It authenticates with a developer key, which these public stores do not issue, so use the endpoint above for this data.
Reports

These reports are not the thing. It's all about putting unstructured, (seemingly un)related data together.

Below are some plain-language reports built from the records in KnowDrive. Each names the collection it came from and the date those records were retrieved, so you can tell how current the answer is. The guides summarize, and the records govern. Every source is referenced.

  1. PublicRecord

Report: 🇨🇦 What Ottawa Doesn't Compete For

One dollar in eight of federal contracting is awarded without competition. Half that money is claimed under exclusive rights, while 86% of the contracts record no reason at all. Sole-source vendors are 2.33 times more likely to appear in the lobbying registry, and the gap holds in every size band.

  2. PublicRecord

    Report: 🇨🇦 Canada's Federal Record

What the government spent, who does the talking in Parliament, and why some votes count for more. Four shipbuilding and software contracts hold more than half of all federal contract dollars, one vote in Labrador carries five times the weight of one in Kingston and the Islands, and a single member of Parliament speaks a twentieth of every word said in the House.

  3. Tariffs

    Report: 🇨🇦 Canada's Tariffs

What Canada charges extra on, who pays it, and when the rules change. Four separate surtax programmes, and the rules that decide which one lands on a shipment, including the two that stack and the one that refuses to.
